Elder Dr. Kenneth A. Duke

Elder Dr. Kenneth A. Duke serves as the senior pastor/teacher of the New Jerusalem Impact Church in Miami, Florida.  Elder Duke also serves as the President of the National Primitive Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

Elder Duke is a product of the historic Bishop College of Dallas, Texas.  Elder Duke completed his post-graduate studies at Samuel DeWitt Proctor School of Theology at Virginia Union in Richmond, VA. Elder Duke is a recipient of an honorary doctorate from St Thomas Christian University.

Elder Duke was born in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Elder Dan H. and Mrs. Eunice Duke.  Raised in Indianapolis, Indiana, at the age of fourteen Elder Duke was licensed to preach, by the Mt. Lebanon Primitive Baptist Church of Indianapolis, Indiana. At the age of 16, Elder Duke was ordained in Franklin, Tennessee by the Lynn Creek Primitive Baptist Association. At age nineteen, Elder Kenneth A. Duke was called to the pastorate at the Good Shepherd Primitive Baptist Church where he served 6 ½ years. In 1985, Elder Duke relocated to Miami, Florida to serve as the Pastor of the New Jerusalem Primitive Baptist Church.

During his tenure as Pastor, Elder Duke has led his church to facilitate the opening and operation of the Abundant Life Christian Learning Center. This major educational facility is home to a preschool and primary grade school that follows a Christian based curriculum, which fosters academic and spiritual growth in the children enrolled. Elder Duke also, serves as president and chief executive officer of the New Jerusalem Community Development Corporation, a community-based agency primarily providing after-school care and a summer programs for youth in k-12 grades.

Pastor Duke serves as the Chairman of the Board of Miami’s gospel radio station WMBM 1490. He is the past Moderator of the East Florida District Primitive Baptist Association.  Elder Duke is the former Vice President and current 14th President of the National Primitive Baptist Convention U.S.A., Inc.

Elder Duke is a loving pastor who’s preaching and teaching focuses on building the people of God to be the best that they can become according to God’s Purpose for their lives. His passionate words and heartfelt expressions of love are experienced by anyone who encounters him.

Elder Duke is widowed.  He is the parent of three adult children: Kenneth D, Kelon, and Aheisha and grandparents of three wonderful grandchildren.
